This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how information is handled in connection with the PurePix Images macOS application (“App”) offered on the Mac App Store. The developer identified with the PurePix Images listing (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy.

By using the App, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Summary

• Local-first processing. PurePix Images is designed to process images on your Mac. We do not operate a cloud service that receives your image files for processing in the ordinary use of the App as described herein.
• What we may receive. Information is limited mainly to what Apple provides in connection with distribution, updates, and In-App Purchases, and what you choose to share when you contact us.
• Your control. You choose which files and folders to open, where to export, and whether to grant access to Photos or other system features.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to the App and information practices described here. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or apps that we do not control (including Apple’s services), which are governed by their own policies.

If we offer a website, email support, or other channels, those may have additional notices.

3. Information We Collect and How

3.1 Information processed only on your device

When you use PurePix Images, the App typically:

• Reads image files and folders you select or drag into the App.
• Performs operations (conversion, resize, compression, watermarking, etc.) locally.
• Writes output files to locations you choose.

We do not receive copies of your images merely because you process them in the App, and we do not use your images to train models or for advertising in the App’s core operation as described here.

3.2 Information Apple provides to developers

Apple may share limited information with developers through App Store Connect and related tools, for example:

• Aggregate or anonymized analytics or App Analytics (if you opt in at the system level and where available).
• Sales and financial reports related to purchases (not your full payment card details).
• Crash or diagnostic data if you choose to share analytics/crash data with developers (controlled via macOS and App Store settings).

3.3 Purchases and subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription or other In-App Purchase:

• Payment is processed by Apple; we do not receive your full credit card number.
• Apple may provide us with a transaction identifier, product type, subscription status, and related metadata necessary to validate entitlements.

3.4 Communications with us

If you email us or contact support, we receive the information you send (e.g., email address, message content, and attachments you choose to include). We use that information to respond and improve support.

3.5 No intentional collection from children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

4. How We Use Information

We use information:

• To operate, maintain, and improve the App.
• To validate purchases and manage subscription status through Apple’s systems.
• To respond to your requests and provide support.
• To comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect rights and safety.
• In aggregated or de-identified form where permitted, to understand usage trends.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not use your images for behavioral advertising through the App’s local processing flow described above.

5. Sharing of Information

We may share information:

• With Apple as required for App Store distribution, updates, and In-App Purchases.
• With service providers who assist us under strict terms (e.g., email delivery), only as needed.
• For legal reasons if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and notice where required.

We do not share your image files with advertisers in the ordinary operation of local processing.

6. Data Retention

• On-device data (such as preferences or usage counters stored locally) remains on your device until you delete the App or clear data, unless the operating system manages storage.
• Support emails may be retained for a reasonable period to handle your request and for record-keeping.
• Purchase-related records may be retained as required for accounting, tax, and legal compliance.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the App. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and accounts.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or other laws, such as:

• Access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold (where applicable).
• Objecting to or restricting certain processing.

Apple provides tools for managing App Store and device data; for subscription management, use your Apple ID media and purchases settings.

9. International Users

If you access the App from outside the country where the developer is established, your information may be processed in countries where we or our processors operate, which may have different data protection laws. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards where required.

California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined in the CPRA in connection with the core local image processing described in this Policy. 11. European Economic Area / UK (Summary)

If GDPR applies, our legal bases may include: performance of a contract (providing the App), legitimate interests (improving and securing the App, support), and compliance with legal obligations. You may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (e.g., in-app or on the App Store). Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
