1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the SpeechSee mobile application (“App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed with accessibility in mind and aims to minimize the use of your personal data.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- The App’s core speech-to-text feature runs on your device using Apple’s built-in speech recognition. We do not send your voice or transcriptions to our own servers for processing.
- We do not collect your name, email, or other personal identifiers unless you voluntarily contact us (e.g. by email).
3. Information Stored on Your Device
- Transcription history: Saved conversations and transcriptions are stored only on your device (using the device’s local storage). We do not have access to this data.
- Settings: Your in-app settings (e.g. font size, preferences) are stored locally on your device.
- Subscription status: Information about your subscription or free-tier usage may be stored on your device and validated with Apple’s servers when you make or restore a purchase. We do not store your payment details; payments are processed by Apple.
4. Information Processed by Apple and Your Device
- Microphone and speech recognition: When you use the transcription feature, your device’s microphone and Apple’s speech recognition APIs may process audio. Apple’s handling of this data is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy and, where applicable, on-device processing.
- In-App Purchase: If you subscribe or make an in-app purchase, Apple processes the transaction. We may receive from Apple only the information necessary to provide the purchased feature (e.g. that a subscription is active), in accordance with Apple’s policies.
